The second thing that I learned last week is, to quote from a song, "No Man is an Island". As believers our souls crave the connection with other believers. We need each other to push us forward, to pray, and to encourage us to keep us going when we don't feel like we can. Matt, Stella and I felt your prayers last week. They kept Matt and I moving and working toward getting Stella well. They helped Stella have such a wonderfully sweet spirit about her, even when she was not feeling her best.
The texts and messages checking in on us, fed our souls. They helped remind us that so many people care for us and Stella's well being. I can only imagine how lonely and frustrating last week would have been without the help of colleagues, the messages from family and friends, and a wonderful church body that God has brought us to. I have to remind myself that I cannot do life on my own. I need these folks and am so very blessed and thankful for you all!
